International Association of Dento-Maxillo-Facial Radiology
 
 The International Association of Dento-Maxillo-Facial Radiology (IADMFR) was founded
 on August 16, 1968, at the first International Congress of Dento-Maxillo-Facial Radiology
 held in Santiago, Chile. The IADMFR has undertaken the responsibility of representing and
 developing dento-maxillo-facial radiology at the international level. 
 
 The second International Congress was held in Erlangen, Germany (1971), the third in Kyoto, 
 Japan (1974), the fourth in Malm”, Sweden (1977), the fifth in Portland, Oregon
 (1980), the sixth in Utrecht, The Netherlands (1983), the seventh in London, U.K. (1985),
 the eighth in San Antonio, Texas (l988), the ninth in Budapest, Hungary (1991) and the
 tenth in Seoul, Korea (1994). The eleventh International Congress is scheduled for Louisville,
 Kentucky (1997), and the twelfth will be held in Osaka, Japan (1997) and the
 thirteenth in Glasgow, U.K. (2001). 
 
 The aims of the IADMFR are to: 
  promote teaching, research and patient services in radiology, 
   develop clinical services in dento-maxillo-facial radiology, 
   promote research and development in dento-maxillo-facial radiology, 
   encourage both investigators and clinicians in order to improve services to patients. 
 
 Members of the IADMFR receive:
 
   the Scientific Journal "Dentomaxillofacial Radiology" which is published four times each
 year, 
   the Newsletter of the Association which is published twice each year, 
    a substantial reduction in fees for IADMFR congresses. 
 
 The annual membership is US$50 but if you pay three years in advance the fees are reduced
 to US$ 130. Triennial payment is preferable so as to reduce the costs of money transfer and
 administration. 
 
 The membership fee (either a bank draft or money order made payable to the "International
 Association for Dento-Maxillo-Facial Radiology") should be sent to the Secretary General
 together with the application form. A confirmation will be sent as soon as your membership
 fee is received.
