Dear Colleagues,
It is my privilege to invite all who are interested in the advancement of dento-maxillo-facial radiology to participate in the 12th International Congress of Dento-Maxillo-Facial Radiology which will be held at the Rihga Royal Hotel, Osaka, Japan from June 26th through July 1st, 1999.
It has been more than 20 years since we hosted the 3rd International Congress in Kyoto. Since then, Japan has markedly changed and now we are ready again to provide the facilities and atmosphere necessary for an event of such pre-eminence as the ICDMFR.
The congress will present the latest information and technological developments on radiology in stomatological science, and the program will include a pre-congress course, special lectures, educational lectures of up-to-date topics and free paper (oral and poster) sessions. The technical exhibition will be presented in an area located close to the scientific sessions. These arrangements will offer an opportunity to share ideas and experiences with specialists, related professionals, and general practitioners from all over the world.
We believe that the congress will further promote development not only in dento-maxillo-facial radiology, but also in the comprehensive life sciences, which now play an increasingly important role in daily life of people.
The local organizing committee and a thousand colleagues from the Japanese Society for Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology look forward to welcoming you to the 12th Osaka Congress of IADMFR in June 1999.
Hajime Fuchihata, D.D.S., Ph.D., Dr.Odont.H.C.
